Profile Of A Jazz Musician
The Paul Horn Quintet
Availability: In stock
Paul Horn played the piano aged four, clarinet at ten and saxophone at twelve! After gaining a masters degree at the Manhatten School of Music he went on to play in Chico Hamilton’s quintet for two years. After that came a stint on the Fantasy label and then he set up his own quintet that produced albums for Columbia and RCA Victor. During this period he was the subject of a David Wolper television documentary ‘Portrait of a Jazz Musician’.
Now we could list any old jazz LP here, but we try to list just the special ones; the good ones. And this is both! Track after track of sheer bliss, I've played this record over and over again. A 100% recommendation!
