Of the millions of library recordings out there, we're continuing with our plan to release only the very best library tracks that the world has to offer. If you have any of the previous library cuts that we've issued you will see what we mean. Needless to say, the record we've made here is certainly up there amongst the best there is!

Cult Italian composer, arranger and all-round musical genius Nino Nardini needs little introduction to fans of library, experimental & proto-electronic music, his name is legendary and deservedly so. Amongst his many commercial and library LPs was an album he made for the Peer library called 'Stringtronics'. Now one of the most sought-after library records of them all, it is nigh on impossible to find. But should you be lucky enough to hear it, you will immediately understand why producers, DJs and music lovers all over the world would gladly fork out a three-figure sum for its possession. The track we chose, 'Tropicola', is utterly fantastic. Impossible to categorise and quite unique in style, arrangement, sound; everything about it begs to be heard over and over again. Experimental music is often 'unlistenable' or 'weird', but this piece is a highly listenable and refreshing change, you will love it!!!

'Filigree Funk' is by little-known composer Anthony King. This cut is taken from another sought-after Peer library LP, this time entitled 'Lost Star'. The laid back theme with its complex percussion, deep bass, flowing strings and leisurely electric piano combine the classic spacey jazz fusion tones of Lonnie Liston Smith with the rawer funk stylings of an earlier period, but then again it sounds like it was made with the beach in mind, a chilled Ibiza anthem from the '70s perhaps? Let your ears decide…!

Both of these tracks sound totally different to each other. But what each has in common with the other is an inventiveness and uniqueness that is lacking in much of today's music. The more progressive record collectors and music buffs in this world know this, and they are at the forefront of unearthing these forgotten gems. Library records that used to be confined to the secondhand bargain bins are now seen as highly desirable collectors items, and hearing music of the kind that's on this Jazzman 45 it's not hard to see why!
