Two absolute winners from Gino Parks, a singer whose career took off when he moved to Detroit in the mid-50s. Beginning with a number of duets with the notorious Andre Williams for the equally legendary Fortune label, Parks then appeared as a solo artist for Berry Gordy's then fledgling Tamla stable. These two sides appeared in 1962 on the second of three singles cut for Tamla. This is really a true double A, we're sure you will find it impossible to pick between the evocative, infectious early soul sound of 'For This I Thank You' and the all guns blazing R&B explosion of 'Fire'.
