Jump Sister Bessie / Sit Down Baby
Availability: In stock
A bluesman with a soulful voice, Rush began his recording career with Cobra records – the label behind both of these tracks. The midtempo Jump Sister Bessie came out in 1957 and features Rush’s distinctive guitar sound, in part, said to stem from the fact he was a left-hander who played a right-handed guitar. Sit Down Baby was the flip to his 1956 debut, I Can’t Quit You – check out the sliding-down-a-smokestack horn refrain.
